Already signed in? Open a ticket inside the app at your support threads. A real person reads every message, and your replies are kept in one place so you can pick up the conversation later without digging through email.
Otherwise, email hi@marathonhandbook.com from the address on your Mara account so we can find you quickly.
Helpful things to include:
- Your account email (if writing from a different address).
- What you were trying to do and what happened instead.
- The device and browser you were using (e.g. "iPhone 15, Safari").
- A screenshot if anything looked wrong.
Common how-tos
Connect or disconnect Strava
Open Settings → Connected accounts. Click "Connect Strava" and authorise Mara at strava.com. To revoke Mara at any time, visit strava.com/settings/apps and remove "Mara". Mara stops pulling new activities immediately; the cache of past activities stays in our database until you also ask us to delete it (see below).
Delete the cached copy of your Strava data
Email hi@marathonhandbook.com with the subject "Delete my Strava cache." We will purge cached Strava activities (laps, streams, polyline, photos) from our database and confirm when complete. This is in addition to revoking Mara at strava.com.
Connect Garmin or Apple HealthKit
On iOS, open Mara → Settings → Connected accounts and tap "Connect Apple Health" or "Connect Garmin". You will be asked to grant permission. You can disconnect at any time from the same screen, or directly inside the Apple Health app or your Garmin Connect account.
Change your plan
Open Plan Generator, fill in your new inputs, and generate a fresh plan. The previous active plan is archived (not deleted) so its history stays available in analytics.
Change your membership tier
Web: visit Settings → Membership. iOS: open Settings → Subscriptions in iOS and manage the Mara subscription from there.
Delete your account
Open Settings → Account and use "Delete account", or email us. We close the account and delete personal data within 30 days; aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained per the Privacy Policy.
Export your data
Email us with the subject "Export my data" and we will send a machine-readable dump (JSON) of your account, plans, completions, and runs within 30 days.
Status and outages
If Mara appears down, first check that you can reach maramiles.com in a private browser window — that helps us tell a real outage from a cache or auth issue on your device. If it is a real outage, we will post a note on marathonhandbook.com and inside the app banner.
Privacy and policy questions
Detail on what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights lives in the Privacy Policy. The terms under which we provide Mara live in Terms of Service.
Reporting a vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please email hi@marathonhandbook.com with "Security" in the subject line. Please give us a reasonable chance to fix the issue before disclosing it publicly.
